We are on the lookout for a passionate Disability Employment Support Officer to join our dynamic team!
What would I be doing?
Working in this role is about actively engaging with the community and workplaces to ensure clients feel empowered and supported in achieving their employment goals. It's not just about being in an office but about being hands-on, proactive, and purpose driven.
Here’s what your role would involve:
- Client Support: Provide ongoing, personalized support to clients who have secured employment, helping them thrive in their roles. This might include offering on-the-job support, such as coaching clients in their tasks or assisting with workplace adjustments to ensure their success.
- Work-Related Activities: Guide clients through important work-related activities, such as education programs, training, or gaining work experience, ensuring they build the skills and confidence needed for long-term employment.
- Adaptability: Every day will bring new environments and challenges. You’ll need to work comfortably in diverse settings, engaging effectively with clients, colleagues, and managers in various industries and workplaces.
- Financial Management: You’d help clients navigate financial aspects of their employment, such as accurately calculating hours worked and wages earned, ensuring they receive fair compensation.
- Problem Solving: Challenges are part of the journey, and you’ll play a critical role in addressing them. With strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, you’ll resolve issues quickly and find solutions that work for everyone involved.
- Relationship Building: Building relationships is at the heart of this role. You’d develop strong, positive connections with clients, employers, and stakeholders, creating a network of support and trust that fosters sustainable employment opportunities.

What would I need to be considered?

You will require a valid C class driving license. You will also need a blue card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance to start (we can help).
