As our new Work Health Safety & Risk Advisor based in our Brisbane head office (with travel as required to QLD / Northern NSW), your role will be to maintain and continuously improve safe work environments, systems of work and equipment, promoting a positive safety and risk based culture enabling CPL to provide a great service to our clients.This is an exciting time to join CPL, with the NDIS offering challenge and reward in a high growth, dynamic sector. Responsibilities includeUndertake generalist work health and safety activities and safety audits.Monitor the Operational Risk Register and support and mentor managers and supervisor on risk management principles.Review all worker incident reports, and work with managers, supervisors and HSRs to ensure appropriate early incident management and an effective investigation and corrective actions are implemented.Analyse hazard, worker and client incident data, prepare reports relating to work health and safety, and develop and recommend strategies to create safer workplaces and safer work practices.Oversee and coordinate review, maintenance and amendment of the Workplace Health and Safety Management system as required.Within a team, develop, co-ordinate, implement and evaluate work health and safety training that builds staff capability to achieve continuous improvementUndertake Workplace Health and Safety Representative as required.Assist with WHS Rehabilitation and Return to Work activity as required (prior knowledge desirable). Selection criteria includesExperience in a similar role, within human services sector (desirable)Proven ability to interpret and apply Work Health and Safety legislationDemonstrated high level research, analytical and investigation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver recommendations and actions relating to Work Health Safety and Risk matters that meet business objectivesProven ability to collaboratively deliver safety and risk capacity building training, strategies and systemsHigh level communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes within deadlinesRelevant diploma or tertiary level safety qualification and/or 5 years’ experience in a safety and/or risk  roleKnowledge of RiskMan or similar risk management systemC class driving licence and car, with willingness to travel in QLD and northern NSW Benefits include:Permanent, full-time role, ASAP Start!Based in Brisbane’s CBDSalary packaging optionsEmployee Benefits ProgramJoin a professional and energetic teamHigh growth sector and forward thinking organisationApplications close on Friday 30th October 2020.Note: Please respond to the Selection Criteria in your cover letter.Position description AUD Australia - QLD Brisbane CBD & Inner Suburbs Brisbane
