We believe that everybody deserves access to quality arts activity and the opportunity to work towards a career in the arts. Undercover Artist Festival is an arts and disability festival, first staged in 2015. As our new Festival Production Manager, your role will be to work with the Festival Director, Festival Producer, Queensland Theatre, Access Arts and CPL teams and a range of other delivery partners to deliver the technical and production requirements of the Festival. It’s an exciting role!Responsibilities include:Successfully manage to the highest possible standard the technical requirements of any production, and/or event part of Undercover Artist Festival (UAF)Co-ordinate technical staff and contractors for all UAF productions and events, and work collaboratively with UAF and Queensland Theatre staffEnsure all technical and production elements are coordinated and in place for the preparation, rehearsals and performances of productions within UAF and related eventsEnsure legislative requirements with regard to work, health and safety from a public, artist, staff and creative perspective are maintainedHave a sound understanding of and ability to apply the Live Performance AwardMaintains effective communication within the organisation and develops positive relationships with artists with disability or who are d/Deaf to create and maintain safe and accessible working environments.Selection criteria includes:A team player who is passionate about the arts, events and safetyA proven track record of managing and delivering theatre and event productionsSound knowledge of industry trends, technology and best practiceKnowledge of Queensland Theatre venue systems and technical set-up is preferredExcellent communication skills and organisational skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a team environment and also independently to deliver resultsDisability Awareness, including the capacity to adapt and construct flexible schedules and working processes to work accessibly with artists with disabilityBenefits include:Part-time role with flexible hoursFixed term contract until September 2021Join a leading not-for-profit arts organisationPlease review the attached position description for a full understanding of the role.Applications to close by Friday 14th May 2021, unless filled prior.Position Description AUD Australia - QLD Brisbane CBD & Inner Suburbs Brisbane
