CPL is a leading provider of integrated supports and services to people with a disability, supporting them to live their best lives. As our new Work Health & Safety Advisor based in Brisbane (with travel as required across QLD and northern NSW), your role will be to maintain and continuously improve safe work environments, systems of work and equipment, promoting a positive safety and risk-based culture enabling CPL to provide a great service to our clients. This diverse role will work across CPL Group; CPL Services and Supports, Mylestones, Access Arts and Cootharinga.  This is an exciting time to join CPL Group, with the NDIS offering challenge and reward in a high growth, dynamic sector.Responsibilities includeUndertake generalist work health and safety activities and safety audits.Monitor the WHS Risk Register.Support and mentor on WHS risk management principles.Review all worker incident reports and ensure appropriate early incident management and an effective investigation and corrective actions are implemented.Analyse hazard, worker and client incident data and prepare reports.Develop and recommend strategies for safer workplaces and practices.Oversee and coordinate review, maintenance and amendment of the WHS Management system as required.Within a team, develop, co-ordinate, implement and evaluate work health and safety training that builds staff capability to achieve continuous improvementAssist with WHS Rehabilitation and Return to Work activity as required (prior knowledge desirable).Selection criteria includesExperience in a similar role, within human services sector (desirable).Proven ability to interpret and apply Work Health and Safety legislation.Demonstrated high level research, analytical and investigation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver recommendations and actions relating to Work Health Safety and Risk matters that meet business objectives.Proven ability to collaboratively deliver safety and risk capacity building training, strategies and systems.High level communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes within deadlines.Relevant diploma or tertiary level safety qualification and/or solid experience in a safety and/or risk role.Knowledge of RiskMan or similar risk management system.C class driving licence and car, + willingness to travel in QLD/Northern NSW.First Aid / CPR (desirable).COVID-19 Full vaccination.Blue Card and NDIS Clearance. Benefits include:Permanent, full-time role, ASAP Start!Based in Brisbane + flexible work patternSalary + super + tax savings approx $5000 / yrJoin a professional and energetic teamHigh growth sector and forward-thinking organisationApplications close on Friday 13th January 2023. Position description AUD Australia - QLD Brisbane Brisbane 4000
